The EAA's popular B-17 Aluminum Overcast flying over Lunken Airport in Cincinnati. This is a cartoon parody version of a more traditonal colored pencil piece I drew of this plane. It contains a lot of sight gags, many of them inside jokes, like the WKRP chopper and local war hero Herb Heilbrun flying the plane. Digital, 18x24.
This is the colored pencil version, also 18x24. Lunken airport and the city of Cincinnati can be seen in the background, and I took great pains to insure that they are very accurate.
Prints of both versions of this piece are available from my gallery on Fine Art America.
