Avro Lancaster
The Lancaster is the most famous British bomber of World War II. Lancasters sank the German battleship Tirpitz, participated in the well- known dambuster raids and dropped the largest bomb of any plane in WW2, the 22,000 pound "Grand Slam". Test pilot Alex Henshaw once barrel rolled a Lancaster, raising a few eyebrows at the Vicker-Armstrong factory where he worked.
